What to include in your request
- Say where the problem is and when it started.
- Mention whether water is still flowing or a fixture is unusable.
- Add a clear photo when it is safe to do so.
- Describe access to the property and your preferred time.
Before booking
For active flooding or another immediate hazard, contact the appropriate emergency service or building manager first. Availability on Need a Hand? depends on providers in your area and a booking is confirmed only when a provider accepts.
Choose a booking request or a quote
For a booking request, choose Now, Later or Tomorrow and describe the job. Current availability does not reserve a future time; the provider must accept your request and confirm the timing.
If the scope or price needs discussion, request a quote with job details and photos. A quote enquiry is a message, not a travel request. Agree the scope and price, then book separately.

Can I see who is available before sending a plumbing request?
Yes. The search shows eligible providers near your location who are marked available at the time of your search. A provider still needs to accept the request before the job is booked.
